Facilities Engineer II

SUMMARY
The Engineer II will assist guests with maintenance or other requests, identifying and correcting the problem. Responsibilities also include performing various work order tasks and preventative maintenance on equipment. Resolves guest's problems and handles all guest requests. Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplished assigned work orders and does all necessary repairs. Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner. Complete the duty rounds checklists, report and correct noted problems. Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system and Life Safety Systems, (training provided). Perform swimming pool chemical tests, make corrections and have a working knowledge of pool equipment (training provided). Certified pool operator preferred. Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing blueprints. Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years' experience in a similar job in the hospitality industry or combination of education and experience. Must have outgoing personality and strong communication skills. Experience working with the public and providing a professional image a must.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
