WA-APP Construction Equipment Operator Mechanic

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds, and maintains equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, motor graders, trench-digging machines, bulldozers.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.

Perform duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control).
Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
Dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools.
Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
Replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions.
Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
Welds broken parts and structural members.
May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
May repair, adjust, and maintain machinery.
Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
Perform all other job related duties as requested by supervision.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS &
Experience:
Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance experience.
Must be able to pass equipment test and visual observation of operating equipment.
Complete the High Hazard Facility Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and Client/Site specific training.
Must obtain and maintain an active status within the appropriate drug testing program.
Good understanding of boilermaker-type work and knowledge of basic hand tools.
Must be able to pass an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Craft proficiency test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
MUST have TWIC card.
Verification of 8,000 craft related hours.
Graduated journeyperson status preferred.

The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is shown below.
The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay.
As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.
Hiring range:
$39.
70 to $43.
10 per hourFull range for this position, available over time:
$39.
70 to $63.
