The Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for the administration of, observation, charting and reporting effects of medications, intravenous procedures, and other therapeutic and diagnostic measures in a safe and accurate manner while operating within established policies, procedures and regulations.
The Registered Nurse is an integral member of the patient care team and is expected to be a resource person regarding patient care, specialty area of nursing and development of other staff.
Requirements:
Must have advanced nursing skills and knowledge, demonstrate the ability to think critically, demonstrate an understanding of triage principles and take appropriate action, identify emergent situations and be able to perform in a calm and professional manner.
A minimum of one (1) year of emergency department experience is required.
Current Registered Nurse License issued by the WA Department of Health required.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification.
Current Basic Life Support Certification.
Current PALS or ENPC Certification.
Trauma Nurse Care Curriculum (TNCC) must be completed within one (1) year of employment.
