Assists with Treatments as needed.
Reports to Wellness Director.
Basic Qualification Education/Training:
A current degree in nursing from an accredited college or university is required.
Current CPR card is required.
Skills:
Knowledge of basic ADL's and regulatory requirements.
Gerontological nursing is preferred.
Computer skills required to complete assessments and documentation.
Good communication skills with residents, families and staff.
Basic knowledge of frequently used medications in long term care.
Must be able to push/pull med cart (approx.
50lbs) during shift.
Experience:
Previous experience in assisted living preferred.
Essential Duties Administering medications in a professional, accurate and timely manner.
Count narcotics at each change of shift.
Apply treatments to residents using proper technique.
Complete resident assessments as needed Monitor and assist NACs as needed in resident care.
Chart all pertinent information in residents' charts.
Complete incident reporting as necessary.
Alert charge nurse of medication order needs.
And other duties as assigned.
